International Impulses at mdh: Delegation from Jinan Visits Berlin Campus

11.11.2025

In early November, mdh Berlin welcomed a distinguished delegation from Jinan, China, led by Deputy Mayor Ren Guangfeng. The visit focused on strengthening the existing partnership and sparking new initiatives in education, culture, and technological innovation.

During their time on campus, the delegation explored cutting-edge topics including artificial intelligence, the digital creative economy, vocational training, and cultural urban development. A guided tour offered firsthand insights into mdh’s dynamic teaching and research environment.

A standout moment of the visit was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Jinan Education Bureau and mdh. This agreement paves the way for long-term collaboration, joint educational programs, and projects spanning art, culture, and sports—fostering sustainable intercultural exchange between Germany and China.

“The combination of education, innovation, and culture is key to preparing students for a globally connected future,” said Bertolt Flick, Board Member of mdh.

With this MoU, mdh reinforces its position as a hub for international collaboration, demonstrating how universities can actively shape global research, innovation, and cross-cultural exchange.
