Internationality & Multilingualism

Berlin, as the German city with the highest proportion of English-speaking students, already plays a major role for mdh in terms of offering our degree programs in English.

At the Berlin site, there are already two English-language Bachelor classes in "Digital Film Design" and in "Game Design".

At mdh, we are also opening up to international students who want to study in Germany and benefit from our expertise, but would like to work internationally in the future.

Our experience is that nowadays English is often the everyday working language in the creative industry, because large international teams from all over the world usually work on a project. In this way, with the English-language courses, we also give interested German students the opportunity to practice the everyday use of the English language already during their studies.

Hunan Normal University (HNNU)

We have a very special program with the Hunan Normal University (HNNU), which is unique in Germany. There are already 220 Chinese students studying in China, who come to Berlin in their fourth bachelor's year and are awarded their degree in Berlin as part of the exchange program. Our students living in Germany can of course participate in the exchange program with certification from HNNU.

Imperial College London / Dyson School of Design Engineering

The Dyson School of Design Engineering is the academic center for design engineering at Imperial College London. The Mediadesign School maintains a cooperation with Imperial College in the field of research. There are also plans for a joint Innovations Hub to support alumni of both universities in start-up ventures.

Parsons School of Design

The Parsons School of Design is a design college in New York City founded in 1896 as the Chase School of Art. Parsons was the first university in the United States to offer degree programs in fashion design, advertising design, graphic design, and interior design. It is ranked #1 in the U.S. and #3 in the world in the QS World University Rankings for Art and Design (as of 2019).

mdh is planning a joint design master's program with Parsons University in New York City.

University of São Paulo (USP)

The University of São Paulo is one of the largest universities in Brazil and Latin America.

Over the past five years, the university has consistently ranked among the best universities in the world. In rankings such as the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) - 2020, the University is among the "Top 30" best universities in the world.

A very intensive and special exchange takes place especially in the field of games.

University Travel Club

The University Travel Club organizes affordable trips to exciting places - especially for students and alumni of the participating universities. All mdh alumni are welcome to join.
