“Feature Complete” – Game Design Students Reach the Next Major Milestone

19.02.2026

Our mdh Game Design students have reached an important step in their development process: the production phase called “Feature Complete.” This means their games are now fully playable.

In practical terms, all key features are implemented, the core idea behind each game works, and the projects can be tested from start to finish. The next step is to add more content, refine the details, and polish everything until the games are truly finished.

During an internal presentation, the teams showcased their projects and received feedback from their professors and fellow students. Drawing on their industry experience, the lecturers provide honest and constructive feedback — just as it happens in real game studios.

These presentations are more than just another date in the semester schedule. They highlight how closely the Game Design program at mdh is aligned with real-world practice.

Our students don’t just learn how to develop games. They also learn how to:

  • work effectively in teams
  • accept and apply feedback
  • handle challenges
  • improve projects step by step

This combination of creativity, technical skills, and teamwork is what makes the difference.

We are proud of all the teams and excited to see their finished games.

Want to turn your own ideas into playable experiences? Start your Game Design degree at mdh.

In addition to the Bachelor of Science in Game Design, we also offer practice-oriented vocational programs where you learn step by step how games are created — from the first idea and story development to level design, game art, prototyping, and implementation in common game engines. The focus is clearly on hands-on experience, teamwork, and building a strong portfolio that prepares you to enter the industry.
