Digitalization, interdisciplinary working methods and internationalization play a very important role in this process. Certain programs at our Berlin campus are taught in English, making these particularly interesting for international students. Our Mediadesign University is in close contact with cooperation partners worldwide, such as the Hunan Normal University (HNU) in China, the Dyson School of Design and Engineering\ Imperial College London, the Parsons School of Design \ The New School in New York or University of Sao Paolo, in the area of intercultural instruction and research.
Digitalisation, interdisciplinarity, and internationalisation play an important role at Mediadesign University. At our Berlin campus, numerous Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes are offered in English, making them particularly attractive to international students. Mediadesign University maintains an international network of university partnerships. These include the Wuhan Institute of Technology (WIT), with which mdh operates a joint German-Chinese higher education institution, Hunan Normal University (HNNU) and Guangdong University of Technology (GDUT) in China, the Dyson School of Design Engineering at Imperial College London, Parsons School of Design – The New School in New York, and the Universidade de São Paulo (USP).
Whether in a degree programme or vocational education, students benefit from close contact with their lecturers. Teaching and learning are science based and project-oriented. Regular practical projects and an internship semester establish strong links with companies during the course of study and help develop participants’ teamwork skills. Master’s programmes also maintain a strong connection to research. Mediadesign University employs a dedicated faculty of professors. The mdh Career Service supports students in their transition into professional life.
Thanks to its outstanding quality of education, Mediadesign University was named one of Germany’s top media universities by FOCUS, issue 5/2023, as part of the Deutschland Test ranking, receiving a corresponding distinction.
STATE-RECOGNIZED AND ACCREDITED
Since 01 April 2004, the private Media Design University of Applied Sciences has been state-recognized in accordance with § 123 para. 1 of the Berlin Higher Education Act in conjunction with §70 para. 1 of the Higher Education Framework Act.
