Micro Degrees
Micro Degrees – learning at Master’s level
The job market is evolving faster than traditional study models. Our Micro Degrees give you the opportunity to upskill in future-relevant fields—compact, flexible alongside your career, and at Master’s level.
Instead of completing a full degree, you take a clearly defined package of four modules from existing accredited Master’s programmes and focus on exactly the skills you need for your professional growth.
What are Micro Degrees?
Micro Degrees are learning formats based on selected modules from existing accredited Master’s programmes. Each Micro Degree consists of four predefined modules and enables targeted specialization at Master’s level. Upon successful completion, you earn the corresponding ECTS credits. No academic degree is awarded.
The benefits of a Micro Degree:
- Master’s level: Study selected modules from accredited Master’s programmes.
- Clear structure: Each Micro Degree consists of four predefined modules.
- Practical and career-relevant: Content is aligned with current industry demands.
- 20 ECTS credits: You receive the designated ECTS credits upon successful completion.
- University certificate: Your achievement is recognized with an official certificate from mdh.
Note: The ECTS credits earned in a Micro Degree may be recognized toward the M.Sc. Information Technology at mdh, subject to applicable regulations. Modules already completed do not need to be taken again.
