For over 25 years we have been sharing our know-how and experience in one of the most exciting industries of today – and the future – with our students. Right where business, media and design come together: in the creative centers of Munich, Berlin und Düsseldorf.
If your next career move is starting an innovative study program, moving into a new professional field or if you are looking for a sound training program, mdh is the perfect choice for you. In our programs and courses, we can provide you with the requisite know-how.

Digitalization, interdisciplinary working methods and internationalization play a very important role in this process. Certain programs at our Berlin campus are taught in English, making these particularly interesting for international students. Our Mediadesign University is in close contact with cooperation partners worldwide, such as the Hunan Normal University (HNU) in China, the Dyson School of Design and Engineering\ Imperial College London, the Parsons School of Design \ The New School in New York or University of Sao Paolo, in the area of intercultural instruction and research.
Whether you are enrolled in a university program or a vocational training, you will be in close contact with our lecturers. Courses and classes are science based and project-oriented. Regular project work and a practical semester allow you to establish contact with relevant companies while you are still a student and help to improve teamwork between our participants. The master programs also focus on forming strong ties with the field of research. A total of 36 professors teaches at mdh, and our mdh Career Service helps you with the transition into the job market.
Thanks to its outstanding quality of education, the Mediadesign University has been named one of the top media universities in Germany by FOCUS magazine's 5/2023 edition of Germany Test (30,000 respondents, 256 providers).
STATE-RECOGNIZED AND ACCREDITED
Since 01 April 2004, the private Media Design University of Applied Sciences has been state-recognized in accordance with § 123 para. 1 of the Berlin Higher Education Act in conjunction with §70 para. 1 of the Higher Education Framework Act.
