Mediadesign University invites you to the fourth edition of its successful live podcast series Design Dialogues – on Wednesday, 24 July 2025, at 7 p.m. on the Berlin campus. This time, the discussion will feature mdh CEO Martin Adam and Aleksandra Jagdfeld, founder of the Berlin fashion label ALEKSANDRA VIKTOR.

Jagdfeld has gained international attention with her artistically crafted chapan coats. The coats combine traditional Uzbek ikat craftsmanship with modern design and are tailored in Germany. Each piece is unique – a statement of quality, aesthetics and cultural appreciation.

Before founding her label in 2019, Jagdfeld worked in the real estate industry and in fashion buying. Influenced by her travels and inspired by the birth of her son Viktor, her vision emerged: a brand that combines sustainable fashion with artisanal heritage – sensitive, strong and stylish.

In the live podcast, Jagdfeld talks about her personal journey, the founding of ALEKSANDRA VIKTOR, her attitude towards sustainability and why it is more important than ever to preserve traditional weaving techniques.

‘Aleksandra's work is an impressive dialogue between tradition and modernity,’ says Martin Adam. ‘Her perspective opens up a new dimension of design for our students – one that brings together values, origins and the future.’

Design Dialogues is mdh's public podcast format that gives a voice to visionary voices from the creative scene. The focus is on current topics at the interface of design, identity and culture – always in the spirit of experimentation, questioning and rethinking.
