‘Okinawa Paradise’ at DoKomi 2025: Mediadesign University and Mode Design College present creative fashion visions

üsseldorf, 6 June 2025 – Starting today, the Düsseldorf Exhibition Centre will once again be transformed into a Mecca for anime, manga and Japan fans: DoKomi, Germany's largest anime and Japan expo, is opening its doors! This year's event also features a special creative highlight: Mediadesign University (mdh) is represented with its own stand in cooperation with the Mode Design College (MDC).

Under the inspiring motto ‘Okinawa Paradise’, students from the Digital Film Design, Game Design, Fashion Design and Fashion Management courses have jointly developed interdisciplinary designs. In collaboration with MDC graduates, these visions have been translated into extraordinary fashion creations that take visitors on a visual journey to Japan's tropical island world.

The results of this creative collaboration can be admired from today until Sunday at the exhibition centre in Hall 9, Stand B66. Visitors can expect a fascinating insight into the connection between design, fashion, technology and Japanese culture – lively, colourful and full of imagination.
