Campus Unfiltered: new city, new chapter? Here's what it's like

Starting university is about so much more than lectures and exams. For many students, it's the beginning of a completely new chapter: moving to a new city, meeting new people, and figuring out life on your own for the first time. Exciting? Definitely. Easy? Not always.

That's exactly what Campus Unfiltered, Mediadesign Hochschule's new video series, is all about. Real students share real experiences, honest conversations, and the moments that don't usually make it into university brochures.

What does starting over feel like?

In episode two, host Bvnny sits down with Francis Kanu, an IT student at mdh Berlin, to talk about what it's really like to build a life in a new city.

Francis has already experienced living and studying in Ghana and Ukraine before moving to Berlin. In this episode, he reflects on the differences between education systems, adapting to new cultures, and why Berlin has become a place he now calls home. Moving somewhere new comes with plenty of questions: How do you meet new people? Where do you find a student job? And when does a new city actually start to feel like home?

Francis shares the lessons he's learned along the way and the advice he wishes someone had given him before making the move.
