Design meets real impact: mdh students visit myneva
19.03.2026
What does design look like when it actually makes a difference? That’s exactly what mdh students experienced during the Simplify Care Tour at myneva Group.
The myneva Group is one of the leading providers of digital solutions in the European social care sector. Based in Essen, the company develops software for areas such as elderly care, disability services, youth welfare and social services. Its goal is to simplify complex processes, relieve professionals in their daily work and create more time for working directly with people.
The visit marked the start of a new academic partnership focused on connecting classroom learning with real-world practice.
During the tour, Sascha Platen, CEO of myneva, shared insights into the evolving healthcare and social care landscape in Germany. In this context, we discussed questions such as how good design can simplify everyday workflows in care settings and how digital tools can create even more value in daily work.
Practice-oriented studies
For our students, this collaboration primarily means real insights and real perspectives. It’s not just about learning skills, but about understanding how design and technology can actively contribute to solving societal challenges. At mdh, you don’t just work on projects, you work on solutions that are needed in the real world.
Want to be part of it?
We are continuously expanding partnerships like this to better connect academic learning with professional practice. So if you’re not just looking to learn, but also to make an impact, you’re in the right place.
