02.02.2026
A big moment for our Game Design students: At the final showcase of TiME Hack, held at the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI) and hosted by Silicon Allee, the Game Design team from mdh Berlin delivered an outstanding performance.
Competing in a highly interdisciplinary and competitive environment, the team won two out of three awards:
- Positive Social or Educational Impact
- Audience Pick
A strong result that highlights not only technical skill, but also creativity, relevance and a clear vision.
Congratulations to the team:
- Vladimir Beck
- Simon Wollesen
- Leon Teusen
- Tobias Dietrich
- Augustin Gressier
Leading up to the final, mdh was actively involved: Sylvius Lack, lecturer in Game Design, hosted an expert session, sharing insights into contemporary game design practices. Christian Malterer also joined a panel discussion, contributing industry perspectives on games, technology, and innovation.
After the showcase, the team presented their latest game project PRAVDA, giving attendees the chance to play the game themselves and connect directly with its creators. It was a powerful reminder of how ideas turn into tangible experiences through collaboration and hands-on work.
The success at TiME Hack underlines the value of practice-driven, industry-oriented formats such as hackathons. They challenge students, mirror real-world production environments, and help build confidence for future careers.
We are incredibly proud of what this team has achieved!
