How do new ideas for the future of education emerge? Often where different perspectives come together.

That’s exactly what a recent visit by mdh to the Deutscher Bundestag was about. Thomas Steinbrück, Chief Executive Brand & Strategy Officer at mdh and a lecturer in the Design Management master’s programme, met with Julia Klöckner, President of the German Parliament. The visit included an exclusive tour of the parliament building and conversations about possible future collaborations. It concluded with a Q&A session with Germany’s Foreign Minister, Johann Wadephul.

It was an exciting day filled with interesting conversations. Education doesn’t exist in a vacuum, and dialogue like this helps us develop new perspectives and discuss the ideas that will shape the future of the creative industries. Exchanges like these also strengthen the university’s network and can lead to new opportunities for collaboration, from guest lectures and workshops to real-world projects, internships and joint initiatives.
